Racism is becoming more and more rampant in the United States. We cannot pretend that it no longer exists. We must fight against injustice and stand up for human rights. The Jena 6 case isn't unique. There are many such cases which are not publicized. We cannot allow history to repeat itself.

Wow! I had no idea that things like this still existed in our society today. That's appalling! A shade tree that only white students can sit under? Come on now!? What the heck is up with that!? Being provoked and then punished to the fullest extent of the law being tried as an adult when in your late teens, it is obvious to me that our system is severly flawed. In fact, I don't even think it should be called a justice system. There might be justice for some but there isn't really justice for all.

What happened to poor Megan is unreal. I am a firm believer in restorative justice, but these people don't seem like the kind with whom that method would work. The assailants seem to not even like one another or themselves, let alone someone so different from themselves. What a hoibly sad situaion. She is a brave young lady to go public and speak out against these 6 horrible predators. I hope they are punished to the fullest extent of the law.
